As a fellow supporter of SAMMinistries, I am writing to share with you a challenge that I have presented to them in celebration of their 25 th Anniversary. With the support and encouragement of my family, I have committed to match up to $700,000 in contributions given to SAMMinistries over the coming months.
Through my volunteering experience, I learned so much about the individuals and families who were homeless in our city and was deeply touched by their various stories of life-changing situations that brought them to the shelter.
I have been impressed with the way SAMMinistries has grown from an overnight shelter to a service organization that offers programs that can help people return to a life of independence as well as preventative programs to help people avoid the traps that can lead to homelessness.
I feel extremely blessed to be able to help further their work; in so doing, I am fulfilled and have a sense of purpose. I hope you will take this opportunity to join with others in helping SAMMinistries meet and exceed this challenge. After all, it is in the giving that you receive! |
