Emergency Shelter

SAMMinistries’ low-barrier Emergency Shelter is designed to serve our community’s most vulnerable, individuals with long histories of homelessness and physical and/or mental health disabilities. During fiscal year 2024, the program moved to a new building, increasing capacity from 45 to serving 185 unsheltered neighbors at a single time.

Emergency Shelter Residents:

  • Stabilize physical and behavioral health
  • Prioritized appropriately in the Homelink (Coordinated Entry) system
  • Quickly connects individuals to permanent housing and long-term supportive services
