At SAMMinistries it is important that we serve our clients and the community holistically. To do this, we offer supportive services to all program participants to support them spiritually, mentally and physically.
Spiritual Services:
- Holistic wellness classes at the Transitional Living and Learning Center
- Citywide conferences to educate and equip volunteers and service providers on topics related to poverty and homelessness
Educational Assistance:
- Emergency aid to students at risk of discontinuing their education
- Fills gaps left by traditional financial aid including assistance for transportations costs, books, childcare, etc.
- Funded by revenue generated from the Educational Endowment Fund
Employment Development:
- Assists clients in obtaining living-wage employment
- Trains clients to build/enhance skills , knowledge and abilities required by employers
- Offers a wide-range of services including:
- Resume building
- Help filling-out applications
- Mock interviews
- Job coaching
- Employment referrals
- On the job training
- Work-related clothing and equipment
Wellness Classes:
SAMMinistries provides weekly wellness classes to clients on topics ranging from parenting and conflict resolution, to budgeting and fitness.
