Jenise Best

Chief Financial Officer

Jenise Best joined SAMMinistries in May of 2024 as Chief Financial Officer. She is an accomplished executive with management and leadership experience in Finance, Accounting, and Administration. She brings with her over 30 years of knowledge in governmental, corporate, banking, and non-profit industries. A graduate of the University of Texas at Austin, she began her career as an auditor in public accounting where she earned her CPA and CGMA certifications.

Throughout her career, Jenise has focused on giving back to her community. She has volunteered to serve non-profits in many capacities, including co-founding the Rio Grande Valley Diabetes Association in 2007. She also served as Treasurer for the United Way of South Texas for 10+ years, and on various financial and fund distribution committees. Most recently she was named co-chair of the American Cancer Society’s 2024 Cattle Baron’s Ball, and President of the San Antonio Association for Financial Professionals in 2023.

At SAMMinistries, Jenise oversees all aspects of Finance and Accounting, and partners with SAMM leadership to support critical decision making and navigating the dynamic non-profit environment.
