Mentoring guarantees a young person that there is someone who cares about them. It shows the youth they are not alone in dealing with day-to-day challenges. In order to be a successful mentor, volunteers should have a sincere desire to work with a young person, be an active listener, and be flexible and open to finding new ways of connecting with teens. We are looking for volunteers for group and/or one-on-one mentoring. This volunteer opportunity requires a minimum of a 6 month commitment, but is extremely rewarding. Times and days may vary depending on schedule. Please contact Volunteer Services at 210-321-5639 for more information.
